Blasting-media for cryogenic deflashing machines

In the cryogenic deburring technique, blasting-media (generally on the basis of polycarbonate) is required for the deflashing procedure.  Frequently used grain sizes are 0,75 or 1,0 mm (0,029 or 0,039 inch), but also can vary between 0,4 and 2 mm (0,015 and 0,078 inch) depending on particular requirements. Quality criteria like long lifetime during the blasting process, antistatic preconditioning, constant dimension-stability and high impact strenght can play a decisive role in the selection of the optimal blasting media.

Based on long-term tests with our cryogenic deflashing machines, we have made excellent experience with the blasting-media from Emsodur.
